Have you ever calculated how much time it takes on site to wire, connect and configure a zoning system for a ducted unit? Between dampers, wiring, different interfaces for each manufacturer and adaptations to the plenum, the risks are always the same: more time, more errors and more product codes to manage.
That’s why Air Control introduces UNICAB, the universal pre-wired control panel that completes the Universal Plenum range. This patented system is pre-wired, motorised and compatible with all types of plenums: 12 mm or 20 mm PAL (rigid expanded polyurethane) plenums and sheet metal plenums. It is designed for installers, distributors and system designers looking for a fast, standardised way to zone ducted HVAC systems.
How the system is configured
- UNICAB pre-wired control panel: available in 5 versions, with 2 to 6 outlets Ø 200 mm, for plenums with minimum lengths ranging from 800 to 1600 mm. It arrives pre-wired and ready to use. The cutting template and installation guides for 12 mm and 20 mm PAL plenums are included
- Communication interface: the universal Koolnova control unit with integrated infrared interface for direct expansion units operated by remote control, or a dedicated wired interface for major brands (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Hitachi and others). A dedicated interface is also available for hydronic fan coil units.
- Control kit: wireless (868 MHz) or wired thermostats, available in white or black, for systems with 2 to 6 zones.
